Joseph M. Schwab, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic hip surgeon. He is internationally known as an expert in Anterior Approach Hip Replacement. He has been listed among "The Best Doctors in America" for his clinical expertise. He holds an undergraduate baccalaureate degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University, and has completed numerous leadership and training programs including the AOA USC APEX Leadership Certificate Program, the Medical College of Wisconsin Leadership Academy, and the Clinical Research Scholars Program from the Clinical & Translational Science Institute of Southeastern Wisconsin.
A native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (USA), Dr. Schwab has been located in Switzerland since 2022, working as Director of Research Services and Senior Physician and Researcher in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at the University of Fribourg (UniFR) and Cantonal Hospital of Fribourg (HFR).
